Hope what ever is getting you down clears up. You simply didn’t watch the video. I get it, a lot of people skip through till the end and comment the same thing. Tons of other people have found value in the video and it has helped many avoid the dealership. If the solutions in the video or the comments don’t work than sorry about your luck but you will have to go to the dealership unless you would rather spend thousands on equipment to fix the problem rather than a few hundred spent at the dealer. The video is formatted for the public that don’t want to spend thousands so there fore such as most people would I chose the dealer route. I avoid them at all costs as well haha!! Sometimes it’s the only good option though unfortunately as was this case.

Based off what I’ve seen it seems like there’s tire pens and then there’s knock off tire pens. Have you seen any other kinds of methods other than? Thank you

Regardless, the minute you decide you wanna spend $1500 - $5500+ on a scan tool and a few hundred dollars up to thousands annually on a necessary subscription to use the scan tool, hmu. We’ll make a part two and I’ll show you how to repair your key fob for free so you don’t have to spend $150 at a dealer 👌🏻 np man.

Idk if I agree that it’s better but that it does certain things better. I did want to make a video testing the 44 and maybe 45 in low traction scenarios but it didn’t seem to get enough interest. My 44 has treated me very well in the snow so far after 6 years+. I could only say I slightly dislike the time it takes for the clutches to grab and start turning the front wheels in reverse situations. Backing up an icy driveway after a 90° turn sometimes my rear end kicks out before the front tires start going haha

I would recommend the button be replaced as it should have the sensor that picks up your key. Where ever that module is I’d replace that and see if there’s any results! Be sure to let us know when you figure it out! I’d really like to know what the solution was

Turns out the spline drive off the front dif gives out before the brakes and transfer case in 4 high as well when you apply throttle! 😅💪🏻

If memory serves I’ve heard people asking this before, however I don’t believe there’s a way around it besides rebuilding the command start module in the truck. That’s not something I’ve heard that’s been done, that’s just me saying the only solution I can think of. I don’t think it’s encoded into the body module and I believe it’s a unit of its own with the receiver built in however maybe someone’s correct me on that. Hopefully if someone’s done that before they’ll come here and reply to your comment! This is definitely the place for that sorta thing to happen! 🙂 best of luck in finding your answers! Electronics don’t last forever 🤷‍♂️ things age and slowly stop working right? If you’ve tried and nothing in the video helped then check the comments. As mentioned in the video, this is now a hub for others to comment their solutions to help grow the knowledge on a very ignored topic. Maybe the dime trick or compressed air will help as it has for others. Everyone’s remote issue is unique. My remote was gone to a point where there was literal damages on the circuitboard causing it to malfunction. Might have been an overload event inside a component or something. So unless you expect me to become an expert in micro technologies and teach you how to rebuild a key fob circuit board even though a trip to the dealer would likely be much cheaper and save you time, your comment doesn’t make sense. Hope you find a solution in the comments and lighten up your mood. Thanks.

No problem Bruce, thank you for taking the time to reach out! I would say the dealer is a decent place to go. I'm planning on making a part 2 to help some more people with new tips I've learned and even received from people such as yourself in the comments of this video! I'll give you a sneak peak at some of the info tho.. The dealer is your best bet I would think if you want the nicest and no corners cut brand new key fob, however you could potentially save money getting a cheap fob from amazon or some website of your choice and then paying a locksmith to install it as some have the ability to program cars now! You'd have to weigh the options personally. The "Amazon" fob might not end up being as nice or lasting as long for instance. If you are planning on going the dealer route, order your fob now even if you aren't sure if you want it quite yet..! I just ordered one and it took a full calendar year to come in! Do you know if the 2014 model is when they started the 7second esc off ? Mines a 2013 and I never seen that work for some reason.

I aswell need a fluid change and I’m doubtful the previous owner did it at 100 000..! haha now I’m at just over 200 000 and I’m gonna do it but I am concerned! 😂

Haha at least you know it’s warmed up and ready to go by the time you hop in! 😂 I personally haven’t heard of that issue with the factory remote start other than accidental presses which I myself have fallen victim to on occasion haha. Although if anyone else has that issue I hope they correct me here and can maybe help you out more! I would just recommend trying if you haven’t yet to make it impossible it could be a accidental press. Even it being pushed on funny in your pocket by your wallet or something while you stand from the couch could set it off potentially. Put keys on the key hook when not in use and being careful on way out. Hold it in your hand to make sure not to press any button on the remote start and just humour yourself for 3 months or so being extra careful. This is best case scenario! See if you notice it running and if not than perfect! That’s the easiest fix, if not it might be complicated to figure out.. You could try tearing it apart to look for a build up of debris between the button and the rubber pad. Maybe dirt or debris got inside and is making it easier for this button to be pressed. Also you could potentially think up a solution to modify the inside or outside of your remote in order to make it more difficult to start so it is less likely to happen at random anymore. Last and worst resort. If it wasn’t accidental presses and the remote is clean of debris and such increasing the likely hood of it going off, your remote might be malfunctioning and sending additional signals when not demanded by a button press. That would be very hard to figure out and I can’t say I have enough knowledge on how to figure that one out. I would assume water/dirt/debris/corrosion getting on the circuit board could lead to microchip issues if it isn’t just a defective unit. In that case you might have to choose between dealing with the random starts and having your current remote disabled and a new one installed. You could maybe ask a tech with access to the body module to turn off the command start feature but that would be quite unfortunate if you live in cold Canada like myself haha! Again I really hope for your sake it is just accidental pressing of the remote start button whilst in your pockets! Definitely easier to change habit than fix a malfunctioning remote and a heck lot cheaper haha! Best of luck, hope anything I said can help you and thank you for the kind words! @@DeoneSoBord I did some research and discovered that you can repair the fob, at least in my case. I replaced the key pad with a new one which resolved the problem. The small metal discs which make contact when pushing the keys had come loose with age, causing remote start, door locks clicking, lights flashing one…….I couldn’t carry the key fob in my pocket without the truck seemingly having a mind of its own. Hope this helps someone else out there.

To clarify does that mean you swapped the motherboard for another one or did you just have to buy a new key completely? I don’t see how you could get just the motherboard nor program it without a computer that can enter the bcm.

it was just the rubber key pad using the same board. No need to re-set the computer.....worked great!

Judging by the golf cart shenanigans I anticipate the 45’ll come in handy at the farm with all the other stuff you prob get up to haha 😂 when you do swap it you should update the group of any situations you might come across. Would really help someone out im sure 🙂

@@DeoneSoBord well I got the 45 installed today, over my busted 44 , works like a dream 👍🏼👍🏼 very easy to do.., the only small down side now the truck jumps a bit when turning at slow speeds like the ford’s do in 4x4 lock , before you never noticed when you where in 4x4 , but that’s ok , I’ll take it 🤞👍🏼

@@Matthew-wt7xo the 44 was kinda cool that way. It would unlock when you hit a certain steering angle so the clutches wouldn’t allow a bidding like your noticing now. That’s insane, so it’s literally as easy as installing the new t-case and using an obd port computer and it runs like a dream? Same harness connections and everything? Sounds too good to be true! Haha. Happy for you it worked out!!! 😄

@@DeoneSoBord correct , basically programmed my bcm to that T case and away i went , someone was claiming I’m supposed to transfer the 44s engaging motor to the 45 otherwise the transfer case won’t completely disengage, but that’s not the case i double checked that and she’s fine 👍🏼

Hey Faisal! I haven’t had any issues at all, my 44’s have been great the whole time I’ve had them. I did swap the 44 for another 44 in this video. Where did you read about the clutch slipping issues? I assume you have a Ram as well?

@@DeoneSoBord Hi Sir, yes indeed I do own a 2019 clssic single cab ram with bw44-44, and I have no issue what so ever with the tc. However there are a good number of people on youtube and ram forums faced issues like overheating message, one of them opend the tc and found that the clutch are out of spec from the factory. Clutch slipping case overheating for sure. Moreover I would be careful of what fluid I will put in to it as it will be fluid sensitive unit.

@@IF9 I know I made reference to which fluid I used closer to the end of the video but I agree. There’s a fluid everyone says to use because it’s cheaper and supposedly the “same stuff”. I recommend just getting the Mopar certified fluid. Based off what I saw at the time it was the safer way to go for the longevity of the tc. From my experience these things have been great. The tc i removed was actually still in working order which surprised me and everyone else. I’ve never had overheating or clutch slip messages and I found the actual first mechanical piece that will fail in the system isn’t the tc although it sounded like the drive chain snapped inside. Changing fluid on a regular basis is easy on these units. Do you service you own vehicles?

@@DeoneSoBord Hi , yes I agree with you about the fluid thing.. yes I do service mine by myself it has 80k km on the clock and I am alerady done with both diffs and the tc fluid twice at 40k and at 80k, going to do my 8 speed trans soon, here in saudi arabia it is 50 degrees C in the summer so there are no jokes with fluid hahaha

@@IF9 haha, man that's brutally warm! do you ever get used to that kinda heat!? At +40 I'm dying, I couldn't imagine haha! good on you for doing your own work, also good on you for doing the trans. No one ever does them cause they're said to have "lifetime fluid" from dodge but the manufacturer Borgs Warner Recommends a fluid change every 100 000k. Not many care enough to know that so it's cool you do.

Maybe I didn’t make it clear. It’s been a while since I’ve watched the video. This method doesn’t work because I live in Canada. You can only buy from their website in the states. Again. The only way I’ve found even today to obtain one of these is to get it from a truck which only mechanics have access to unless you know a driver personally. I do agree it’s bad business practice to make a tool or item inaccessible to markets but that is the reality for this product.

Anyone outside of the states won’t have access to this. Even though the product is designed and manufactured in Canada… I still can’t get it. Even from the manufacturer themselves.

I've been trying to work on some stuff in the background to revive the channel and some of the projects I do want to bring to life will include a lot of welding!
